"…The 'spinto' soprano Carla Musat, Maria Slatinaru's student, proved an early craft in her microrecital; we noticed the ravishing interpretation of Puccini's Tosca and 'La Vally de Catalani' …"

Under the auspices of music at "The Armenian Library"
"…at the end of the concert, the 'spinto' soprano Carla Musat, Maria Slatinaru's 4th year student at the University of Music of Bucarest, confirmed the belif in the everlasting presence on Romanian land of the beautifully coloured voices. Arias such as Rossini's 'Wilhelm Tell', Puccini's 'Madame Butterfly' and Obrado's canzonet were performed with sensibility, musicality and abnegation. The adecquate phrasing and the ample breathing had to be noticed. The audience rewarded generously the artist with applauses. Carla Musat has the 'spinto' soprano's velvet-like voice, the ability of focusing and a wel-done vocal technique, which makes her feel at ease while performing the repertory. Most of the time she seems to be carried away by her ample voice. In this concert , her concern for 'piano' sounds which convey to any voice an extra-beauty, was obvious. The steady evolution of her voice and interpretation which I noticed sine I first heard her 4 years ago, makes me foresee a brilliant career "

"…The 'spinto' soprano Carla Musat was the climax of the concert; performing parts of Bretan, Beethoven and Verdi the artist proved, besides the admirable voice, an expressive dramatic feelling. We ought to congratulate her!…" Ararat- The Journal of the Armenian Union of Romania"
